This week I am having to rearrange my schedule and go to the gym in the evening. It's very different when you have been used to working out in the morning for about 10 years. The heat index today was 116 and our crossfit doesn't have an a/c, so you can imagine how hot it is in there at 4:00 in the afternoon. So, I decided to cook in my crockpot tonight since I knew I wouldn't be getting home until after 6:00. I made a crockpot whole chicken.
You will need
2 onions
1 whole organic chicken
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp
Greek seasoning
1 1/2tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp
Tony's seasoning
Start by slicing the onions and place in the bottom of crockpot.
Next combine all seasonings in a small bowl.
Rub seasoning all over chicken and place in crockpot
Cook for 5-6 hours.
No need to add and liquid. The chicken will fall off the bone and make sure you top it with the onions.
Easy as that, and it's very good!
Can’t wait to try this! How are you with nut butters and Paleo–are they permissable? Also, do you use stevia? Thank you for your help!
Your welcome. Yes you can have nut butter, just not peanut butter. I use almond butter mostly. I do use stevia some. I usually put 1/2 of one in my coffee in the morning.
if you have time can you reference where you buy certain spices, etc…sometimes i find them difficult to find. thanks.
Hey. Sorry about that. I think I didn’t realize when I keep saying use Tony’s that people outside of Louisiana don’t know what that is. Lol!!!
Also, the Greek seasoning that I use is Cavender’s brand. I will find the links to both and put them in the crock pot chicken recipe.
Sorry about that.
