What is Paleo?

People ask me all the time, what can you eat when you are following paleo? simple….lean meat, vegetables, fruit, nuts, and seeds. It’s eating real food.

What should you avoid? sugar, all grains, legumes, and dairy.

I eat anything that can be gathered or hunted and avoid processed foods.

I’m not a scientist, nutritionist, or doctor. If you want to do some real research on paleo, you definitely should. I just know that I have been eating this way for almost 2 years now and I have never felt better. It has changed my life.  It has changed the way I look at food. Going to a party and watching people dive in to the trays of chips and crackers will never be the same. It has also changed my body. After having three children I thought I could never go back to “normal”, and my normal is even better than it was before I had kids.

Paleo is not a diet, it is a way of life. It isn’t something I am doing to lose a few pounds. It is something that I am doing to improve my life.
