I am a stay at home mother of 3. I am a crossfitter, I am a runner, and I live a paleo lifestyle. I cook simple meals for my family every night. I want to show others that following paleo can be easy, and fun. Its not impossible and it can greatly improve your life.
Together my husband and I are driven to improve. Wanting to become fitter, faster, and stronger is what has lead us to improve our eating, and to start paleo.
We have been runners for years. Together we have run over 20 marathons. I qualified to run the Boston marathon and soon after found out that I was pregnant with my 3rd child. My son was born in December of 2010, and after that I had exactly 4 months to prepare for the marathon. I started crossfit because I needed to lose my baby weight quick and get in shape for the race. Soon after that, I started paleo and the combination of the two worked what I would say is a miracle. I lost the weight and I felt better than ever.
I have always loved to cook. Growing up my mother had a cooking school, so food has always been a huge part of my life. When we traveled, we planned our vacations around restaurants. I still love food just as much as ever, but I now have a much better understanding of fueling your body with the correct foods. I don’t need bread, rice, and pasta to make a delicious meal . And you can go to almost any restaurant and get a great, paleo friendly meal.
I am not a doctor, or a nutritionist. I am just a crossfitting mom that wants to cook healthy, unprocessed meals for my family, and I want to share these easy recipes with others.
I found your blog from a paleo retweet. I can’t wait to see what recipes you have!
Hi! Interested to hear more abt ur prep for Boston after ur 3rd baby. I am preg w my 3rd and due in 7 wks. Have been crossfitting the whole preg but stopped eating paleo in those first 16 wks that I was just eating to feel ok. Haven’t returned to paleo really. Anyway, did u nurse ur 3rd? I want to be ready to legitimately compete in the open in feb-mar so I know I will have a lot of training to do. Concerned abt pushing my body this hard while nursing. Long story… Thx for whatever u share!

Hi Erica
Congrats on baby number 3. My 3rd has been my most relaxed baby. I did nurse him, but it only lasted about 2.5 months because of all of my exercising. I started cross fit 6 weeks after having him. I had a c section, so I had to start really slow. I did have a few people tell me i was crazy, but i felt good so I kept going.I think that if you have remained active while you are pregnant then you should have no problem getting back in to it. Good luck! Hope I helped.
Thx for reply. I want to nurse for as 12-ish months so I will def have to keep an eye on my input v output calories.
I think you definitely can do it. Just drink a lot of water!! Good luck!!
