We had great weekend. I taught the Saturday morning classes at Crossfit Alexandria. We had a huge group and the weather was actually pretty nice. We spent Saturday afternoon swimming with the kids, and grilling steaks for dinner. A weekend doesn't get better than that. Now it's back to school tomorrow.
Last weekend I got some maple blueberry sausage at Whole Foods. It was made in links and already prepared, all I had to do was cook it. We enjoyed it so much that I came up with my own version for this mornings breakfast. I paired it with my paleo biscuits and I'm telling you it was better than any sausage biscuit that I have ever had. Try it!
To make you will need:
1 lb pork sausage
1/2 cup blueberries
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1 clove minced garlic
2 tablespoons maple syrup
Olive oil
1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl
2. Form in to small sausage patties
3. Pour olive oil in skillet and cook patties.
4. Enjoy
* warning some of the blueberries will fall out, but don't worry, they will still taste amazing.
