Apple Pie

Paleo Apple Pie

This apple pie was awesome. Definitely make this for Thanksgiving!!

For the crust:
2 cups almond flour
1 egg yolk
Pinch of salt
1/4 cup ghee

For the filling:
2 apples. Cored and sliced thinly
Juice of 1 lemon
1/3 cup coconut sugar
1/3 cup arrowroot starch

1. Preheat oven to 400
2. Mix all crust ingredients in a bowl. Add to a greased pie dish and press down to mold to pie dish
3. Bake for 10-12 minutes and remove from oven
4. Turn oven heat down to 350
5. Now mix all pie filling ingredients in a bowl.
6. Pour filling in pie crust and bake for 25 minutes.
7. Turn heat up to 375 and bake for 10 more minutes.
8. Remove from heat and cool before serving.
