It’s a new year!

 
Its a New Year! Everyone should start today off by sitting down and setting their goals for the year. Set family, physical, financial, mental, spiritual, career, social, and recreational goals. I have been writing my new years resolutions every January 1 since I could write. My dad has always been a huge influence on my goal setting. He has always told me that if you write something down then you will make it happen. As long as I can remember my dad has had legal size notebooks with goals written on them everywhere. My husband is the exact same way. He will spend a couple of hours today writing out his detailed goals for the entire year. Mine aren't so detailed, and are quite simple, but they give me things to aim for in life. After waking up to a new year, I headed to crossfit to start the day off right with an awesome workout with great friends. I came home and made my traditional new years day lunch. We had baked pork roast, cabbage,black eyed peas( which aren't paleo, but they bring you luck and aren't the worst thing you can eat), and also roasted sunburst squash. Our meal was healthy and delicious and that's how I want to eat all year long. If you are thinking of starting fresh today then do it. Join a gym, but don't be that person that only goes for the first 2 weeks of the year and then quits. Start fresh today living your life like you want to live forever. Only fuel your body with good, clean food, and go to the gym and push yourself everyday. Here's is a quote that I read that I think is awesome. " a goal is a dream set to paper. Don't just think it... Ink it." Also, a study at Virginia Tech revealed that people who write down their goals earn 9 times as much over their lifetimes as people who don't. Have a great day and I hope everyone starts their year off right!
