Yesterday my middle child, Max turned 4. We had an awesome birthday party that included jumpers and a real monster truck. The kids had a blast and watching them do so made my day. Today after church it was time for birthday party clean up. The weather was beautiful outside so we decided that cooking burgers on the grill would be nice and the kids could continue to play on the big blow up slide while we cooked. To me, there is nothing like a good burger.
To make burgers:
1 lb ground buffalo
1 lb grass fed ground beef
1 clove minced garlic
2 tablespoons mustard
2 tablespoons pickle juice
2 tablespoons coconut aminos
Salt and pepper
Cajun seasoning ( I use Toni's of course)
1 avacado sliced
1 tomato sliced
4 slices of cooked bacon
1 onion sliced
1. Put meat in a large bowl and add garlic, mustard, pickle juice, coconut aminos, and seasonings. Mix well with your hands and form into burger patties. Mine made 6 patties
2. Cook burgers on outdoor grill or on indoor stove top
3. While burgers are cooking cook onion in olive oil in a skillets on the stove top. Season with salt and pepper and add about 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar. Let cook for a while so they get nice and Caremelized.
4. Once everything is cooked place burger patty on a bed on onions and top with sliced avocado, tomato, and crispy bacon.
