Paleo Christmas.
Besides indulging in my moms fudge and chocolate chip cookies on Christmas day, I managed to make it through numerous parties and holiday meals and stick to paleo. Our Christmas dinner at my moms house was very paleo friendly. We had roast, Brussels sprouts, sautéed spinach, and baked sweet potatoes topped with a bacon and onion gravy. The rest of the family had the gravy with rice, but my husband and I put it on top of a sweet potato and I think it was better that way. I will be posting the gravy recipe soon. I have to say that I woke up this morning feeling pretty good about my holiday food choices so far. I ended up teaching at crossfit and then getting in a great workout afterwards.
This afternoon my family got together for lunch to celebrate my little brothers birthday. He picked his favorite restaurant to go to . It's Chinese restaurant that my husband and I used to frequent quite a bit pre paleo. Neither of us had been there in 2 years. What do you order at a Chinese restaurant that is paleo you ask? We both got steamed chicken and vegetables with no sauce. We added a little bit of salt and pepper and it was pretty good.
